The Unitary Patent System allows the participating EU Member States to draw closer together. Cooperation and cohesion are frequently required for success in court and with out-of-court disputes. This is why, together with our partner Santarelli Group from France, we founded the European Patent Litigators Network (EPLN) in early 2023.
As part of this network, in May 2023 the offices SIB (Società Italiana Brevetti) and SIB LEX società tra avvocati from Italy joined and strengthened the EPLN. In October 2023, the renowned IP law firm Arnold & Siedsma from the Netherlands joined the network as the fifth partner. In the EPLN we combine expertise in European patent protection, defence and enforcement far beyond country boundaries. The international focus of our network ensures that clients are provided with a large range of legal instruments to achieve the best results.
All five IP offices provide their clients with the best service and tailor-made UPC solutions. The EPLN enables clients to be advised and represented more comprehensively, and at the same time more cost-effectively, in cases before the UPC. The international focus of our network ensures that clients are provided with a large range of legal instruments to achieve the best results.
When handling cases before the UPC we work hand-in-hand with the European Patent Litigators Network whilst retaining independence as offices, as needed. For our clients this means that you do not engage the EPLN at large, but get the personalised services of one of the members of the network. The beauty of this system is that other members of the EPLN are always available to bring their intellectual and material resources to bear on each case.
„The EPLN combines the expertise of internationally renowned IP offices from the most important EU Member States with a view to the filing, protection and enforcement of patents.“
