Sam is a senior patent attorney in our UK office in Yorkshire with a technical background in physics. He has extensive experience of working directly with clients to protect their innovation and has particular expertise working with UK based SME’s to develop IP strategies that provide commercially valuable protection whilst minimising cost. 

Sam is a chartered UK patent attorney and a European patent attorney. Whilst the majority of his clients work in the field of mechanical engineering, some venture into electro-mechanical devices, software based inventions, and electronics. Sam is particularly adept  at navigating the different requirements for the patentability of software in differing jurisdictions.
