Jonas Hahn is a patent attorney trainee for qualification as a German patent attorney and for qualification as a professional representative before the European Patent Office.

Mr. Hahn studied biomedical engineering, specialising in device technology and prosthetics, at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, where he wrote his bachelor’s thesis on „45S5-Bioglass-based Scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering via Replication of Natural Sponges“.

He completed his studies in biomedical engineering at Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover with a master’s thesis on the development and validation of a transmitted light refractometer for the determination of refractive indices of hydrogels in aqueous working media.

As a biomedical engineer, Mr. Hahn has been involved in the development, improvement, support and testing of medical systems and devices in industrial companies.

In matters of intellectual property law, Mr. Hahn is particularly active in the fields of patent, utility model, trademark and design law. As part of his training as a patent attorney, he specialises in drafting patent applications, assisting in the grant procedure and participating in opposition and appeal proceedings.

Mr. Hahn is further involved in conducting and analysing patent literature searches.
