Wolfgang Thalhammer mainly advises medium-sized companies and a large research-oriented chemical corporation on patent law matters. His technical focus lies in the area of organic and industrial chemistry. Through close collaboration with scientists and IP departments within these companies, he has gained extensive experience in obtaining and defending patents as well as invalidating opposing patents. He is primarily responsible for grant, opposition, and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office.

Mr. Thalhammer has been involved in numerous patent litigation cases concerning superabsorbents, catalysts, and chemical processes.

He was admitted as a German and European patent attorney in 1998. He practiced for 25 years at a German patent law firm before joining Meissner Bolte in 2024.
