Dr. Tobias Popp fully exploits the opportunities of intellectual property protection for his clients. His motivation lies in the conviction that intellectual property is one of the greatest assets of a company and that the protection of intellectual property at the same time serves the common good.

He is a European and German patent and trademark attorney. His studies in "Pharmaceutical Sciences", his license to practice as a pharmacist and his Ph. D. in medicinal chemistry give him a broad scientific basis for advising clients in the fields of pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology and food chemistry. Dr. Tobias Popp has experience in defending and attacking patents and participates in complex patent infringement proceedings.  

Currently, Dr. Tobias Popp deals in particular with

• opposition proceedings of the pharmaceutical industry, 

• patent infringement proceedings concerning lithium ion battery technology,

• prosecution in the field of food and nutritional supplements,

• supplementary protection certificates and 

• plant variety protection.

Dr. Tobias Popp is a member of the Trademark Committee (Vice Chairman) of the German Patent Attorney’s Chamber, member of the Rules of Procedure and Election Committee of the German Patent Attorney’s Chamber and member of the Bavarian Patent Attorneys Association (Vice Chairman). Dr. Tobias Popp is also the author of numerous publications in the field of natural sciences and patent law.
