Dr. Karin Grau-Kuntz studied law in São Paulo, Brazil, with a focus on business law. She further pursued her studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU), Munich, where she obtained an LL.M. degree. She did her doctorate in copyright law under the supervision of Prof. Schricker at Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Patent, Copyright and Competition Law (now Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition).

Since 2012, she has focused her practice in Germany and Brazil on plant variety protection law, patent law, and antitrust issues related to intellectual property rights.
