Markus Bachschmid focuses on intellectual property matters, in particular patent law, as well as the conducting and evaluating of patent searches and the preparation of translations.

Due to his studies at the University of Augsburg and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, his fields of activity include Physics, Solid-State Physics, Geophysics, Material Science and Optics.

During his studies at the University of Augsburg, Mr. Bachschmid dealt with Solid-State Physics, in particular with organic semiconductors. Through his subsequent Master studies in Geophysics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Mr. Bachschmid dealt with Geophysics, in particular geophysical risk research.
