Meissner Bolte is delighted to announce the appointment of Philipp Rastemborski, LL.M. (Edinburgh), as partner of the Munich office as of 1 January 2021. Dr. Tobias Wuttke, Partner in Munich and Head of Litigation, acknowledges Mr. Rastemborski's addition to the partnership: "We are very pleased that with Mr. Rastemborski as an outstandingly qualified colleague, we will be able to consistently pursue the growth path of the Meissner Bolte Litigation Department and significantly improve our market positioning."
Philipp Rastemborski studied law at the Freie Universität Berlin, completed his legal traineeship at the Berlin Court of Appeal and the German Embassy in Bangkok and his Master's degree (LL.M. in European Law) at the University of Edinburgh.
His work focuses on complex patent infringement and invalidity cases tried before national courts, PTOs and arbitration bodies. Philipp’s expertise is in disputes involving SEPs, often at the intersection of IP and antitrust law. His cases are commonly international. He works with legal advisers from across Europe, the US and Japan, on multi-jurisdictional patent litigation strategies. He also advises on IP licensing strategies and IP-driven R&D projects.
His industry expertise include electrical engineering, telecommunications, chip technology, software, mechanics.
