Award for Meissner Bolte

Europe’s Leading Patent Law Firms — 2024 ranking

Meissner Bolte is proud to have received an improved ranking from the Financial Times in its 2024 ranking of Europe’s leading Patent Law Firms. Meissner Bolte was mentioned as one of the leading law firms in Europe. We were also recipients of awards in 5 of the 6 individual subject categories – marking us out as a firm with a very broad range of technical expertise. We want to thank all of our clients who have recommended us from across Europe, particularly both in Germany and the UK.

As compared to the 2023 awards we improved to receive a silver award in the categories of Chemistry and Pharmacy, and a silver award in Electrical Engineering and Physics. This brings our total to three silver awards, with Meissner Bolte retaining this silver award for Mechanical Engineering. We also received bronze awards for our work in IT and Software, and Material and Nanotechnology.

Samuel Giles, a partner in our UK office, said “I want to thank all of those who put us forward for these awards. I know our clients in Yorkshire and Lancashire were very generous in their recommendations. We are proud to have improved this year in both physics and chemistry which recognises our continuing expansion and multidisciplinary expertise”. Andrew Parker remarked “We are thrilled to be recognised, especially by such a prestigious publication. We believe we are one of the foremost European firms in the majority of technical areas and it is extremely pleasing to receive awards of this type”.

It is noted that whilst these awards recognise our work for patent drafting and prosecution, Meissner Bolte is a full service European IP Law firm and so has an active litigation department. We are currently engaging in contentious matters before the UPC, German Courts, EPO, and UK Courts. Whilst these awards focussed on our patent expertise we are also active in relation to other IP rights such as trade marks and designs. Please contact us if you have any enquiries relating to European, German, or UK IP matters of any nature.
